Leonard F. Spagnolo

Len joined the firm as a partner after a seventeen year career at one of the largest law firms in Pittsburgh where, as a partner, he began and chaired the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Department of the firm. Len has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell (the highest legal ability and ethics rating awarded to attorneys) and a 5/5 Client Rating.

Len's practice encompasses business and commercial transactions and litigation (in state and federal courts), with a sub-specialty in all aspects of creditor-debtor relations, including distressed debt acquisition, negotiations, workouts, bankruptcy, insolvency, receivership, crisis management, real estate, collections, mediation and early neutral evaluation. Len is also a licensed Pennsylvania real estate agent.

Len is a summa cum laude graduate of Purdue University and the Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington), where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. Following law school, Len served for two years as a judicial law clerk for a federal bankruptcy judge. Thereafter, he received his mediation training and certification from Northwestern University. Len is on the panel of mediators and early neutral evaluators for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Len has also presented numerous professional programs for the National Business Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Len played college tennis, is a former teaching professional, and a certified black belt in self defense. He lives in the suburbs of Pittsburgh with his wife and son, all three of whom are church, studio, musical theater and ensemble musicians.
