Attorney Daniel Maier is an associate of Bentz Law Firm, P.C. Mr. Maier first joined the firm as a law clerk while studying at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and later accepted an offer to join the firm as an associate attorney. In his role as an associate, he is tasked with assisting in complex, high-value cases at all stages of litigation.
Mr. Maier’s practice involves a combination of civil litigation and transactional work in a variety of legal fields with a particular focus on the areas of construction, surety, and employment law as well as contract formation and disputes. Additionally, he has done work in the areas of real estate law, business and corporate law, and wills and estates. Mr. Maier is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in both History and Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was a recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship, awarded for his meritorious performance as a student. While a student at Pitt Law, Dan served as Bluebook Editor for the Pittsburgh Tax Review and as President of Pitt Law’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. As a Certified Legal Intern in Pitt Law’s Family Law Clinic, Dan honed his litigation skills assisting indigent clients in the Family Division’s Legal Advice Clinic. His experience with the Legal Advice Clinic instilled in him a deeper understanding of how to best achieve the goals of his clients. Dan was the recipient of a CALI Excellence Award for his work with the Clinic.
Dan lives in Shadyside with his wife, who is studying to be a nurse, and their loud but loving cat. Both he and his wife enjoy trying out new food experiences, playing board games with friends, and going to local events and festivals around Pittsburgh.
