Attorney Jack W. Plowman

Attorney Jack Plowman has forty five years of legal experience and serves Of Counsel with Bentz Law Firm, PC.  His areas of concentration include Construction, Surety and Fidelity Law and representation of nonprofit organizations.  In addition to serving as President of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Attorney Plowman is a founding member of Plowman and Spiegel, P.C. and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.  Mr. Plowman has served as President of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Historical Society and as Chancellor of the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Attorney Plowman has is an Adjunct Professor of Law, Emeritus, at Duquesne Law School teaching  Evidence, Professional Responsibility and Construction Law.  He also served as  Editor of the Pittsburgh Legal Journal. 

Attorney Plowman is admitted to practice before all courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. His memberships include the following: Allegheny County Bar Association (Administrative Vice President, 1968-1969; President, 1982), Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations (Member: Surety and Fidelity Law Committee, 1967-, Forum on the Construction Industry; Litigation Section 1980-) National Bond Claims Association. -Fellow:  American College of Trial Lawyers;  American Law Institute; American Bar Foundation; Allegheny County Bar Foundation; President Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Historical Society, 1995-1998.   PRACTICE AREAS:  Construction Law; Surety and Fidelity Law; Civil Litigation.
